1973 Establishment of I.U.C. Borzesti (Intreprinderea de Utilaj Chimic) 1975 First production capacities are put into operation 1975-1990 In this period the production is very diversified, serving a wide range of customers, active in the extractive industries, processing, power, agriculture and construction. The manufactured equipment include individual items, production lines, pilot plants: pressure vessels, autoclaves, stirrers, tanks, heat exchangers, boilers, filtering systems, dryer units, electrolysis cells, mills, cellophane production lines, hose braiding machines, bottling lines for soft drinks, washing-pickling-galvanizing lines, wire drawing equipment, pumping units 1980-1985 The company gets awarded for its achievements, being top-ranked in its industry 1985 First assembly works done on a site abroad (Germany), with its own personnel 1988 The company manufactures its first products intended for the nuclear field 1990 I.U.C. Borzesti changes its name to UTON S.A. 1996 UTON becomes a majority privately owned company 1997 The company certifies its quality assurance system, according to the requirements of ISO 9001 standard 1997 UTON becomes a wholly privately owned company 1998 The company earns the ASME certification to manufacture pressure vessels 2004 The company gets the PED Certification according to the Pressure European Directive 97/23/CE | |
